I can honestly say that as a child, I gave no thought to America. At the time, my country was in such shambles the US really didn't cross my mind other than the fact that I knew they were a free country and I coveted that. Because I was brought back in the country of the United States Ive had to learn and live the American culture. I was brought to this world the year before distraction hit the streets of New York City.I remember watching it on television, and it made me sick. For some odd reason, in that moment of watching the last airplane fly into the South tower it gave me flash backs of the holocaust. The evil people who ruined my country and put us in shambles. Just like the terrorists who killed hundreds on innocent people just to prove a point. Its sickening to say the least, the damage they did to the United States was impeccable. My father always told me as a young child that one day we would move to the United States and start a new life, start a new life where we could be free. I always thought that America had it so easy. I am realizing now that no matter where you go in the world, there is hard times everywhere. And thats just life.
